Common questions
Do these trackers only work with Smart Shamba?
These are standard 4G GPS trackers that use the GPRS protocol. Smart Shamba is built to receive and display their data - setup takes under 5 minutes compared to hours with generic platforms.
Which networks are supported?
The trackers support 4G LTE (A7670E module) with LTE-FDD/TDD bands plus GSM 900/1800MHz fallback. They work with any local carrier that offers data - Safaricom, Airtel, MTN, and equivalents across the region.
What data bundle do I need?
Very little. Each tracker uses roughly 30–50MB per month at the default update interval. Most daily data bundles easily cover multiple collars.
How long does delivery take?
Orders ship directly from our supply partner in Shenzhen, China. Delivery typically takes 10–20 business days to Kenya and East Africa, and 15–30 days to other regions. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
What is the difference between F29 and F29A?
The F29A adds two features over the standard F29: an electric shock function for virtual fence correction and a built-in step counter for activity monitoring. Both share the same 20,000mAh solar battery and 4G module.
Who should choose the F30 Compact?
The F30 is ideal for smaller animals like goats and sheep where collar weight matters. At 236g (vs 473g for the F29/F29A), it's noticeably lighter while still offering solar charging and IP67 waterproofing.
Is there a warranty?
All units come with a 1-year manufacturer warranty from GPSONE Technology. Smart Shamba provides full setup and connectivity support at no extra charge.
